You actually! Yes, you.
You have been helped by God. Irrespective of whether you have accepted his help or not.
God has solved the major problem of humanity. A syndrome that affects all humans. SIN! No one can boldly say that they’ve never sinned. No one can affirm that their conscience has never judged them wrong. The good news is “Jesus has fixed the problem of sin, once and for all.”
How? You may ask. Before I answer that, let’s consider an important point.
It is a very settled truth that God is love. However, He is not just a God of love, he is also a God of justice. In expressing his love to humanity, he was bound by principles. For the purpose of this article, I shall state two of those principles.

The soul that sins shall die. Here the bible speaks not of the cessation of life, but of separation from God which will result in eternal death. This spiritual death is the penalty of sin, every human being was to take the punishment of death, because all have sinned. God could not simply write off the sins of the human race, because He is just, so that meant that if God would solve the Sin problem, he had to pay the wages of sin -death.
Without blood, there is no remission of sins Heb 9:22
This means that the primary solution to Sin is not crying, or begging. It isn’t even turning away from your old ways. BLOOD guarantees forgiveness of sins. The shedding of blood does not imply drops of blood . It is an idiom which means the taking of life.
A life had to be offered for sins. A perfect sacrifice that would meet the demands of sin and death. One without blemish. Someone who had never sinned. No one on the face of the earth qualified. Rom4:15
Enter Jesus.
He walked the earth without Sin, did mighty miracles, loved sinners, yet he was spited by men. He became the sacrifice for us. He gave his life for us. He DIED
How is his death my concern?
His death is the perfect remission for sins. We could never pay the price. We could never measure up to the righteousness standards of God. Ps130:3. Hence, Jesus took our place. The sins of humanity were laid on him, and he took the penalty for sin – DEATH.
Jesus died physically, but much more, he was separated from the Father, and he descended into hell.
His death is the all time payment for sins. You do not have to pay for your own sins anymore, you couldn’t even afford to anyway. All we need is to embrace his provision of forgiveness.
Did he just die and remain dead?
NAHHH!
If he just died and stayed dead, then we would not be free from our sins and their consequences.
A perfect example is the picture of a modern day court room. A young man had been charged with the offence of stealing. The Prosecution was able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was the culprit, and upon that, the Judge convicted him and sentenced him to six years imprisonment with hard labour.
In a sudden twist, after passing the sentence, the Judge took off his robe and decided to take the punishment on behalf of the offender.
Now imagine the Judge remaining in prison even after completing the jail term. He would not be said to be free indeed as long as he remains in the four walls of prison. His walking free is confirmation that he has served the sentence in full. Likewise, if Jesus remained dead, it would mean he remained in prison, and as such he could not be said to have paid the price fully. We will still remain in our sins. But thanks be to God, he ROSE AGAIN.
In the hour when the devil was yet throwing a party that Jesus was in the grave, God bloodied the nose of the devil, and his kids, sin and death, by raising Jesus from the dead.

Click To TweetHis ressurection is our justification. It signifies that the price has been paid in FULL. In his Ressurection lies our liberty and justification. We now have the liberty to become all that God would have us be. Romans 4:25
The Judge served the sentence, but the offender walks in the benefits of the Judge’s sacrifice. The Judge is Jesus, the offender is YOU.
God is sovereign. He created man for a purpose – To be in His image. Sin distracted man from fulfilling this purpose. But Glory to God, that purpose can now be fulfilled in Christ. There is a mark to be met, which can only be met in Christ. For those who have met that mark of believing the gospel, the verdict remains constant for them: “NOT GUILTY”

You can only receive it via the “foolishness” of faith in Christ.
Over the centuries humans have committed the same sin Adam committed – Unbelief. Trying to be right with God outside of Christ.
